1. Who we are

viktir.com ("the Site") is operated by Viktir, a private individual based in Croatia ("I", "me"). Contact: support@viktir.com.

2. Acceptance and eligibility

By creating an account or using the Site you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

3. Accounts

• You must provide a valid email address and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account.
• One account per person. Accounts are personal and non-transferable.
• I may suspend, restrict, or terminate any account at my sole discretion, including for violation of these Terms, suspected cheating, or abuse of the Site's systems. Where reasonably possible I will tell you why.

4. The Service

The Site hosts several projects, including a typing game ("Typing Test") where users create and play typing maps synchronized to music, personal projects, and pages for desktop software I sell. Desktop software is sold under its own license agreement (EULA) presented at purchase; these Terms govern the Site itself. Everything on the Site is provided free of charge; voluntary donations (Section 9) never gate content or gameplay.

5. User-generated content

5.1 Your content, your responsibility

Any content you submit to the Site ("User Content") — for the Typing Test this includes maps, lyrics, transliterations, timings, and visualizer configurations — is submitted by you, not by me. You represent and warrant that you have the necessary rights to submit your User Content and that it does not infringe any third party's rights or violate any law.

5.2 License you grant

You retain ownership of your User Content. By submitting it, you grant me a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable license to host, store, reproduce, adapt (including but not limited to automated transliteration and difficulty computation), display, and distribute it as part of operating and promoting the Site. This license survives account deletion for content you leave on the Site (deleted accounts are unlinked from their content, not scrubbed from it); you can delete your own User Content at any time, which ends the license going forward but does not affect backups kept for a limited period or uses already made while the license was active (for example, screenshots or videos promoting the Site).

5.3 Prohibited content

Do not submit content that is illegal, infringes intellectual-property rights you don't hold, contains malware or spam, harasses or defames any person, or is sexually explicit or hateful in user-authored fields (usernames, titles, descriptions, and profile fields, including profile images). Song lyrics may be explicit; explicit maps must be tagged accordingly (Section 5.4).

5.4 Moderation

I may review, tag (e.g. as explicit), edit metadata of, hide, or remove any User Content, and restrict any account's ability to submit content, at any time and at my sole discretion, with or without prior notice. Automated systems (including third-party classification services) may screen submissions. Voluntary moderation does not create an obligation to pre-screen all content. When content is removed or restricted, I will state the reason where reasonably possible.

5.5 Repeat infringers

Accounts that repeatedly submit infringing content will be terminated.

6. Copyright complaints

If you believe content on the Site infringes your copyright, follow the Copyright & Content Takedown procedure. Notices are acted on expeditiously.

7. Scores, leaderboards, and profiles

Scores, usernames, and related gameplay statistics are public. Profile pages may display your username, profile image, statistics, and maps you have published; any information you choose to add to your profile is public. Scores are computed and validated server-side; I may remove scores or exclude accounts from leaderboards where cheating, automation, or manipulation is suspected, at my sole discretion.

8. Acceptable use

You may not: probe, scrape, or overload the Site or its API; circumvent rate limits, quotas, or moderation; use automation tools, scripts, macros, or similar means to play, submit scores, or create content (only manual play counts); access other users' accounts or data; use the Site to distribute unlawful content; submit knowingly false or malicious reports against other users' content; or interfere with the Site's operation.

9. Donations

The Site may display links to voluntary support platforms (e.g. Ko-fi, Patreon). Donations are processed entirely by those platforms under their own terms; I never receive your payment details. Donations may be acknowledged with cosmetic perks (badges, themes) and are not purchases of content, features, or services on the Site.

10. Availability and geographic restrictions

The Site is provided from Croatia and may be modified, interrupted, or discontinued at any time. I may restrict or discontinue availability of the Site or any part of it in any region at my discretion. I make no representation that the Site or its content is appropriate or lawful in every jurisdiction; users who access it from elsewhere do so on their own initiative.

Beta status. The Site and its projects (including the Typing Test) are currently offered as a beta. Features may change, break, or be removed at any time without notice. During the beta, accounts, scores, maps, and other data may be reset, purged, or deleted — in whole or in part — for example to restructure the service, remove spam, bot accounts, or low-quality content, or to start fresh at the end of a beta period. Significant resets will be announced in advance where reasonably possible, but no notice is guaranteed. Do not treat the beta Site as durable storage for anything you care about.

11. Third-party services

The Typing Test plays music via embedded YouTube players and uses YouTube API Services. By using the Typing Test you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service; data collected through the player is handled under the Google Privacy Policy. Links to third-party sites are provided as-is; I am not responsible for their content.

12. Disclaimers and liability

The Site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. To the maximum extent permitted by law, I am not liable for indirect or consequential damages, loss of data, or loss of profits arising from use of the Site; my total liability for any claim is limited to €50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under Croatian law, including liability for intent or gross negligence, or affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

13. Changes to these Terms

I may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the Site (e.g. a banner or login notice) with an effective date at least 14 days in advance where reasonably possible, or take effect immediately once you expressly accept the updated Terms (e.g. via an in-site prompt). Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance; if you do not agree, stop using the Site and delete your account. The "Last updated" date and a change log are kept on this page. Adding terms for new products or services does not change your existing rights and applies only if you use those products.

14. General

These Terms are governed by Croatian law; mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence are unaffected. If any provision is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. These Terms are the entire agreement between you and me regarding the Site.
