Hello! This is my first blog post so I'm sorry if things look rough at first, I'm not a really good writer. Regardless, I'll share my thoughts on why I've redesigned the website, what I've done so far and what will be the future of me!

1. History
Back around 2022 I was able to actually start coding projects, my first real one was my AutoHotkey plugin for OBS called Multiple Replay Buffers, which is ironically still the most popular one; GitHub claims it has only received 68 downloads and Pastebin claims it is at over 800 views.
After I was done with that project, I have decided to get viktir.com, which is a rare name to get nowadays, everyone takes Viktir before me in other sites and social media so if you see someone with that exact name, it's probably not me.
Regardless, the main reason why I got the site is to house my projects and to hopefully get servers in the future to allow for accounts and other projects which would require Internet access of some kind.
Alongside the first version of the website, I worked on creating a small UI for a downloader. The main reason I wrote it was to stop myself from writing console commands, however I ended up never actually using the program anyways and even when I shared it with a couple of my friends it didn't really get much attention, I believe some people have found use in it though.
The next 3 years were kind of a blur, I didn't really do much coding apart from creating small Roblox games that never took off: Concept Tycoon, Mini Fun Obby, +1 Speed and most recently Quiz Game if you want to check them out.
Last year, I started work on 3 big projects: VRPC, this website and Quiz Game.
VRPC, which started development at the end of 2024 took me 4 months to make. While the base application was done in a week, obviously it wasn't in a state where I could just upload it and a regular person could use it, so the rest of the time was spent on optimising and creating good user experience. The very first versions of the program didn't even have an installer, UI, settings, status, nothing. It was a 100 line program designed to get data from YouTube Music and show it on Discord. Today, it even saves data of what you listen to on your computer (and I have a special surprise for this later this year!) and everything is opt-out if you don't want it of course.
VRPC had stopped development since release but as I predicted that I'll add data uploading in 2026 / 2027, this is gonna be happening really soon and I can't wait to share an update on this - especially because I use two devices to listen to stuff so having one synced library is a welcome change! Well, atleast for me.
Now! My last big project before the website overhaul was Quiz Game, inspired by a defunct game called QuizUp, you'd pick a topic and play against a random player in 7 rounds of fast-paced questions. Really fun idea in theory, but in practice it turned out to be a bad investment as the game never really took off. This project was meant to secure funds for the website and future development of the game but it received absolutely no income.
Development of Quiz Game was slow, it took me about half a year to make (Started July 2025 & ended February 2026). Beta testing it was fun though, creating the quizzes was not. Nevertheless, the game had a couple of fans that kept coming back for a while even if the game had 0 players so I'm happy people found joy in this silly little game.
Funny thing about it was that I planned to make a blog post by March, which the previous version of the website didn't have, it's September now and I completely forgot what to talk about at the time, I still have some thoughts to share:
Main reasons the game took so long to make were design and player customisation as I have revolved the game to be around that. Many animations, graphics and game features took several revisions before they were even revealed to the public and every asset had to be made from scratch by me (except for default Roblox assets and for the lobby music which was made by PsichoFox).
2. The Website
This is the third version of the website. The first version used basic HTML, CSS and some JavaScript to display some random "Coming Soon" text & later that same JavaScript was used to hold the behaviour for on-click panels on elements (when you clicked a box it would give you more info about a specific project and a personal note as well).
The second version of the website was made purely by AI in Next JS when it was starting to become a thing, I didn't really like the final look but it stayed for a year or so. The code the AI gave was fine but required lots of babysitting so it wouldn't have crammed everything onto one file. I always wanted to move away from it.
This is where the third and hopefully final version of the website comes from. Bad design and the necessity for servers lead me to the final remake in Svelte!
Since AI started taking a lot of the purple/red themes and pasting it onto its own sites, I have decided to move away from that even if I held to it dearly from day 1 into a now more "Frutiger Aero" aesthetic, taken inspiration from Windows 7, Need for Speed World and an ancient game called Air Rivals (aka. Ace Online).
As some of you have seen in the past month, this rewrite brought a small new mini-game I'm working on currently labeled "typing-test" which I will tease on TikTok very soon.
Lastly, I have said earlier that the website should use servers and this is gonna happen from now on! I am on final stages in making sign-ups available where I 100% believe there will be hiccups but I'll try to make sure this doesn't happen. This should hopefully allow for syncing with VRPC and its first major update in a year.
3. Future projects
After the website and VRPC finalise its two major updates, I'd want to start selling software. Over the past couple of months I have been working on very huge and interesting things which will have very wide and sometimes niche uses.
I don't want to spoil anything for now so I'll keep you guys hanging for a while, I'm sorry!
4. Closing thoughts
Alright, I just want to say that I'm happy to have finally completed months of work and for it to not be all for nothing. You can expect profiles (to share "typing-test" and VRPC stats... and more), VRPC syncing, and sign-ups soon!
Finally, I'm looking for work and am open for commissions in both Video Editing and Programming, I will make a contact form soon so you don't have to e-mail me, however for now, please e-mail me at viktir@viktir.com. I will update this blog post with images and additional styling over the course of this week.
